A Conveo study can do a lot: screeners, quotas, diary schedules, routing, stimuli, video analysis. Shown all at once to someone setting up a first study, that is a lot to take in, and recruitment lived on a page of its own. Study design v2 keeps every capability and lays the setup out as four steps on one page, with the study assistant filling each step from what you tell it.

A silent walkthrough, from the first prompt to a study that is ready to launch.

How it works

  • Describe the study once. Tell the study assistant what the research should inform, who to talk to and how long the interview may take. It drafts the goals, sets up recruitment and starts the screener.

  • Work down four steps. Set your goals, find participants, choose the interview format, write the topic guide. A progress ring shows how many are done.

  • Recruitment sits in the study. Set the number of people, location and demographics in one line, add a panel or an invitation link, and open quotas beside the screener questions.

  • See only what fits the format. Pick a one-time or recurring diary study, then video, voice or UX screen share. Each format shows only the analysis that applies.

  • Preview and launch on the same page. A side preview shows a question on desktop or mobile in each interview language, and Launch opens a summary before anything goes live.

Advanced settings sit one click from their step

Reporting sits under your goals, all recruitment options and the panel overview under participants, advanced settings under the format, and the consent form on the welcome page. Topic guide features such as visual verification, routing and stimuli live in each question card's menu.

Research teams asked for it in four situations

These come from research agencies and fieldwork partners, and from client-side teams in consumer goods, food and travel. We kept them anonymous.

  • Screeners inside the study. Build the screener and recruitment where the study lives.

  • New colleagues building studies. Get a newcomer from sign-in to a first study.

  • Seeing what participants see. Check a question the way participants meet it before launch.

  • Fewer options up front. Keep settings out of sight until a study needs them.

What this means for your research

New team members can set up a complete study from one page, and researchers who rely on quotas, partner panels or detailed topic guide settings still find every option. The assistant drafts each step and you review it before launch. Study design v2 is rolling out gradually, starting with new organizations, and the topic guide cards are still being refined.
