Video embeds in welcome pages: Set the stage before the interview begins

Your study's welcome page can now include embedded video. Play a short intro clip, set context for the research, or brief participants on what to expect, all before the first question.

How it works

When setting up your study, you can now embed a video directly into the welcome page that participants see before their interview begins. Upload a short clip or paste a link, and it plays inline as part of the pre-interview experience.

Participants watch the video, then proceed into the interview with full context. No separate briefing emails, no external links, no hoping they read the instructions.

Why this matters

The welcome page is the first thing participants see. Until now, it was limited to text and a static image. That works for straightforward studies, but falls short when you need to brief participants on something visual, introduce a project lead, or explain an unfamiliar research format. A video message increases the engagement of participants, activates their intrinsic motivation, and shows that little bit of extra care from your brand where it really matters.

Ideal for

Any research where you want to welcome participants with a more personalized video. For example, marketing teams running studies among their customer base can now introduce the study with a video from the CMO or CEO. Or teams running internal colleague interviews can now welcome participants with a familiar face to explain the purpose and set expectations.

Other use cases could include concept testing where a brief video introduction helps frame the stimulus, multi-market studies where a visual briefing reduces language-dependent confusion, or any study where showing is more effective than telling at the welcome stage.
