The strongest themes often show up in more than one study: last year's concept test and this spring's shopper interviews, or the same question asked in two markets. Until now a quote reel could only hold clips from one study, so telling that story meant two reels or a manual edit. Now one reel can hold saved quotes from any studies you connect, and you decide for every clip whether it's blurred and whether it carries captions.
A silent walkthrough, from the first clip to the rendered reel.
How it works
Ask across studies. In Talk to your Data, connect the studies and ask for a quote reel on a theme. The AI research assistant suggests a playlist with clips from each study.
Open it in the editor. Click Create Quote Reel to trim, reorder or hide clips.
Add clips from any connected study. Add clip opens your saved quotes. Filter by study, tick the ones you want and they join the reel.
Set each clip. The reel-wide Embed captions and Blur video toggles stay. Under each clip, override them: Blurred or Not blurred, captions On or Off.
Save and render. The reel renders in the background and appears under Cross-study outputs in Quote Reels.
Blur the one person who asked for it
A participant who agreed to share their words but not their face no longer forces you to blur the whole reel. Blur that clip and keep everyone else's reactions on screen. Turn captions off on a clip where the subtitle covers the product they're holding, and keep them on everywhere else.
Research teams asked for it in five situations
These come from teams we work with in consumer goods, beauty, food and drink, quick-service restaurants, home security, pharma and out-of-home media, and from research agencies. We kept them anonymous.
One theme across everything we heard. A single reel that brings forward what people said on a topic, whichever study it came from.
The stakeholder sizzle reel. Clips from several projects cut together for a leadership readout or a report.
Faces hidden before sharing. Blur participants in the clips that leave the research team, while the rest stay visible.
Captions where they help. Subtitles on clips in another language, clean clips where the caption gets in the way.
Footage from earlier research. Reuse quotes from past studies in a new story.
What this means for your research
Your reel can follow an insight wherever it showed up, and privacy choices follow the participant. Multi-study reels are built from Talk to your Data and live under Cross-study outputs. A single study's Quote Reels list shows only that study's reels.
