A study with thirty video conversations produces hours of footage and a long report. The people who act on it, a marketing VP or a board, might give it five minutes. So after fieldwork someone rebuilds the findings into two slides by hand: picking the headline, pulling the numbers, hunting for the proof. That step can take longer than the analysis, and whatever does not fit on the slides stays behind.

Executive summaries, how they work and what they change, no sound needed.

How it works

  • Research expertise is built into the writing. Generic AI summaries tend to flatten a study into a list of themes and drop the caveats. Conveo writes the summary the way an experienced researcher briefs leadership: each finding stated as a conclusion, tied to the objective it answers, with the context and nuance that change how it should be read.

  • An overview comes first. The summary opens with a few paragraphs on what the study found and what it means, written for readers who will not open the full analysis.

  • Findings follow your objectives. Key findings are organized around the research objectives you set for the study, each stated as a conclusion.

  • The numbers sit next to the story. Metric cards show interviews started, interviews completed and average interview length, and a demographics section describes who took part.

  • Built from all your interviews. The AI research assistant synthesizes across every collected interview and checks its conclusions against your objectives.

Edit it for the room, then share it

The executive summary now lives in Reports. Click Edit and ask for a change in plain words, such as a shorter summary for leadership or more evidence behind one finding. Follow the references from a finding back to the interviews that support it. When it reads right, share a link, download it as PDF or Word, or create slides from the report.

Research teams asked for it in five situations

These come from teams we work with in consumer goods, beauty, retail, pharma, media and travel. We kept them anonymous.

  • Regular leadership updates. A short, finished summary to bring into recurring leadership and management reviews.

  • Stakeholders with little time. Key takeaways for directors and sales leaders who will not read the full study.

  • Less deck building after fieldwork. Teams that spend hours pulling the top findings into slides by hand wanted that first draft done for them.

  • The headline and the full story. A summary up front, with the detail behind it for readers who want to go deeper.

  • Answers per research objective. Findings tied back to the questions the study was set up to answer.

What this means for your research

The first stakeholder-ready read of a study is there as soon as the analysis is. Your time goes to checking the findings and adding the recommendation only you can make.

Two limits to know. A generated summary synthesizes the analysis available when it ran, so it can miss an interview or a finding: check sample sizes and the base behind any percentage before you repeat it. And a summary does not update itself when you add interviews, so regenerate it before sharing.
