Most research gets passed on as a link in a chat. Until now, a Conveo link pasted into Slack or Teams arrived as a bare URL, and people in the channel had to click it to find out what it was. Shared output links now carry their own preview: the output's title, a description and, for slide decks, the first slide of the deck itself.

Forty seconds on one shared deck: copy the link, paste it in a chat, and the cover slide shows up as a card before anyone clicks.

How it works

  • Share as usual. Copy the link to a report, slide deck or quote reel from its share sheet.

  • Paste it in the channel. Slack, Microsoft Teams and other tools that read link previews turn it into a card.

  • See the deck before opening it. Slide deck cards use the deck's own first slide as the image, so the cover of your readout shows up in the channel.

Research findings already travel through chat

These come from teams in consumer goods. We kept them anonymous.

  • Readouts posted to a channel. Researchers share the study or output link in a Teams chat after a debrief, for colleagues to open.

  • Quick checks with a colleague. A link pasted in a chat to confirm the other person can open it before a meeting.

What this means for your research

A shared readout shows what it is before anyone clicks, so the cover slide and the title start the conversation in the channel.

One tip: the card uses the output's own title, so name reports and decks the way you want them to read in a busy channel.

Read the sharing guide for how output links and access work.
