Jake Brown came to consumer insight from social listening and customer success, and brings a people person’s instinct to brand research.

Jake studied arts management at Indiana University and spent his early career close to customers: four years at the events platform Bizzabo, then senior enterprise customer success at Talkwalker, the social listening company, where three and a half years of reading what people say about brands online turned into an interest in why they say it.

He joined Conveo in Brooklyn in June 2026 and works with US clients on brand and consumer studies, from in-home taste tests to the analysis sessions where a client’s own language becomes the frame for the findings. Colleagues describe one of his demos as among the best they have seen at the company.

What energises him is not understanding something yet. There is so much out there now, and he is, in his words, a people person: the job is understanding consumers and businesses, and he loves the human interaction it takes.

Outside work: Prospect Park with his dog, a listening bar, or live music.

Name's Jake Brown, currently living in Brooklyn, New York. Before this, I was working in social listening for about three and a half years, which drove this desire and love around brand and consumer insights. That's really what drove my decision to join.

Working at Conveo is different from previous employers. Everyone's so open and they want feedback: how can we improve things, make things better? That is extremely different. At a lot of places you work, there are a lot of levels you have to get through to make change. The big thing here is everyone's open to change. If it makes things better, moves things along, you can see that benefit, everyone's like, all right, let's make it happen. That's a big, big thing for me.

What energizes me is not understanding something, having a lack of knowledge. There's so much out there now, especially with AI, so much being developed where I don't know everything. For me, that energizes me: oh, there's a gap, I want to get in here and build a bridge to start understanding. A knowledge gap excites me because I always want to learn more.

I'm a people person. I love human interaction. Being here at Conveo, understanding consumers and businesses, that's me. I always want to understand who people are, obviously in work life, but also personally.

Outside of work? Either at the park with my dog, Prospect Park, going to a listening bar or listening to music. I'm big into music. And the listening bar: Eavesdrop. That's by far my favorite one.
