Meg Gerli spent six and a half years inside Nike’s insights team and now scopes studies with US enterprise teams, with the reasoning behind every recommendation.
Meg grew up in Washington, D.C., and went west to Stanford, where she studied science, technology and society and sailed varsity: part of the team that swept the Pacific Coast Championships in 2017 and took national bronze in 2019. She has lived on the West Coast ever since, now in San Francisco.
She joined the insights team at Nike and stayed six and a half years, exposed to research for a global brand at a scale few people see from the inside, and learned how studies get commissioned, read and acted on. That is the lens she brings to Conveo: sample sizes, panel feasibility, the trade-off between depth and speed, and the reasoning behind every call.
One of the first things she did after joining was fly to New York to onboard, with five hours on a plane to build her first study. What keeps her is the people: passionate, driven, and spread across time zones, with a boss in London who will fly in for a West Coast client. She organised the research team’s product hackathon with the engineers in October 2026.
Outside work: honestly, just outside. She loves spending time outdoors.

Meg Gerli, and I'm from San Francisco. I've lived on the West Coast now for 11 years, went out to California for college, studied at Stanford, worked at Nike for six and a half years in insights and research. I know everything there is to know about shoes and apparel from a performance standpoint.
I joined the insights team at Nike and got exposure to all of this work that was happening for this global brand and became totally obsessed. And then there's Conveo, which was started in Antwerp, has a pretty large global presence, a very big European presence.
One of the first things I did when I joined Conveo, I was flying to New York to onboard and I had five hours to kill on the plane and I put together a spreadsheet of everybody I know in the insights world, this list of amazing people at amazing brands and whether or not Conveo had spoken to them yet. For me that's been a really fun exercise to reconnect with people in my network, but also start to showcase what Conveo is and how we can help people and brands build AI-native insights organizations.
The most exciting thing is just being surrounded by really passionate, excited, driven, motivated people. When I first joined our weekly team meeting on Fridays, the demos meeting, this meeting runs over every single week because so many people are doing so many things and accomplishing so much. I was jaw-dropped from day one.
Even my boss lives in London and there are certain clients on the West Coast that he's like, oh yeah, I'll fly in for that. People are just driven and hungry to be a part of it. We want to make the best client experience.
Where can you find me outside of work? Usually, honestly, just outside. I love spending time outside. I'm an activities person. You can go for a run, you can go on a hike, paddle boarding, skiing. I fill my cup by getting fresh air and being outside.
