Abby Euyang spent four years in UX research at PayPal, compared every AI-moderated platform on the market, and chose the one with the researchers.
Abby grew up in Seattle, where she was the Seattle Times women’s golfer of the year in 2016, and studied psychological science at Pomona College, which is where she fell in love with research as a field. She went on to PayPal’s UX research team, from intern to senior UX researcher on the consumer app, over four years.
Towards the end of that time she saw the shift to AI moderation coming and the pressure to adopt it, so she did what a researcher does: explored the platforms and talked to the people who used them and worked at them. Everyone she spoke to at Conveo loved working there, and the team it had gathered was the deciding factor. She joined in New York in June 2026.
What she saw in her first weeks is what drew her: feedback taken seriously and acted on fast. She sits in the sessions where researcher feedback becomes product change the same day, and at the October 2026 hackathon she co-built the routing preview and rule editing now in the platform. She also pulled the insights and built the film for one of Conveo’s public social studies on ad recall.
Outside work you will find her in Prospect Park on her bike or running. She finished her first triathlon in 2026.

My name's Abby Euyang. I grew up in Seattle, but I'm now based in New York City. I live in Brooklyn. I studied psychology in undergrad, and that's where I fell in love with research as a field.
I ended up at PayPal on the UX research team and was there for about four years. I learned a lot, but towards the end of my time there I started to see this shift towards AI moderation, a lot of pressure to integrate AI tools.
So I started exploring the different platforms and talking to people about their experience using them and working at the companies. I was really impressed by the different researchers that the team had gathered and thought, if they're getting people from Instacart, people like Niels, they have to have something good going on.
Everyone said that they absolutely loved working for Conveo. They were working hard, but having a lot of fun. That was the environment I wanted to join.
Something that drew me to Conveo, and that I'm already seeing, is that feedback is taken really seriously and acted on quickly. We're having a session right now where we're working with the engineers through different parts of the researcher experience just to clean it up. There are already seven feature changes that we've made today in the last hour. Seeing your impact on the product so quickly is really gratifying.
Outside of work, you can find me in Prospect Park on my bike or running. I've been training for a triathlon. I just completed my first one two weeks ago.
Right now Conveo is in an interesting time, where you are fighting to win this space, the share of the market. You have to do whatever it takes to get there. It's a matter of speed and intensity. So you have to have that competitive mindset.
