You can generate slides directly from a Story (recommended) or create them using the Slide Generator. All exported slide decks are:

Two Ways to Create Slides

There are two ways to generate slides in Conveo:

Generate Slides from a Story (Recommended)

If you’ve already structured your insights into a Story, you can convert it into a slide deck with one click. This is the recommended workflow because:
  • Your narrative is already structured
  • Headlines and sections become slides
  • Inserted quotes and charts are preserved
  • The flow of insights is maintained
To generate slides from a Story:
  1. Go to Outputs → Stories
  2. Open your Story
  3. Click Convert to slides (top right)
  4. Conveo generates a slide deck based on your Story structure
Each Story section becomes a slide, maintaining hierarchy and formatting.

Create Slides via the Slide Generator

You can also create slides directly without first building a Story. To create a new slide deck:
  1. Go to Outputs → Slides
  2. Click Create New Slide Deck
  3. Use the Slide Generator to build your deck
This approach is useful when:
  • You need a fast executive overview
  • You want to generate slides from themes or key insights directly
  • You don’t need a fully written narrative first

What Gets Included in Slides?

Slides can include:
  • Insight headlines
  • Structured text summaries
  • Charts from your study
  • Selected quotes
  • Study metadata (e.g., sample size, method)
  • Cover slides with title and subtitle
Slides generated from Stories retain:
  • H1/H2 hierarchy
  • Embedded quotes
  • Inserted outputs (charts, themes)
  • Logical flow of insights

Editing Slides in Conveo

Once generated, slides can be:
  • Reviewed inside Conveo
  • Regenerated if needed
  • Downloaded as a PowerPoint file
You can iterate before downloading to ensure:
  • Headlines are clear
  • Content is concise
  • Visual hierarchy works for presentation

Downloading Your Deck

When your slides are ready:
  1. Open the slide deck
  2. Click Download pptx
  3. The deck downloads in fully editable PowerPoint format
The exported file:
  • Can be edited in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Can be edited in Google Slides (after upload)
  • Preserves layout and formatting
  • Allows full customization (branding, visuals, edits)
There is no content lock-in — everything is editable.
