Foundations lets your organization work with research that another organization has made available through Conveo. Use a Foundation to explore an existing evidence base, ask research questions, or create outputs without running a new study. Access is enabled for organizations through Conveo. It is separate from membership of the organization that owns the original study. Contact your Conveo representative if Foundations is missing from your navigation.

Browse and unlock a Foundation

  1. Open Foundations from the main navigation.
  2. Open a locked Foundation’s listing to review its research summary, audience, fieldwork, languages, and highlights where provided.
  3. Select Unlock access on the listing and wait for confirmation.
  4. Open the unlocked Foundation.
Before unlocking, listing descriptions and counts are curated catalog information, not a live view of the source interviews. Inspect the available evidence after unlocking before relying on the research. Your organization’s Foundations lists research your organization has made available to others. Its listing offers Open study instead of an unlock action; work on that source study through your existing study access. Catalog publishing is managed through Conveo. Any member of an organization enabled for Foundations can unlock a listed Foundation. The unlock grants access to the organization, not only the person clicking the button. It does not transfer ownership or give your organization permission to redesign the source study. If a Foundation is no longer listed or your organization’s entitlement changes, a saved link may stop opening. Contact Conveo to remove your organization’s Foundation access; the removal control is currently managed by Conveo.

Inspect the evidence

A Foundation has three areas: The Foundation interview grid is a viewing surface. Its controls omit study management, bulk export, and video download. Recruiting participants and changing the underlying research stay with the source organization’s study workflow. Review source responses and study context before interpreting a result. A shared evidence base is not automatically representative of your market or comparable with a differently designed study.

Ask questions and compare research

Start a conversation in Talk to your Data. Identify the decision, population, or comparison you need, and inspect the evidence references returned with an answer. See Talk to Your Data for scope controls and review practices. Where you have access, a conversation can combine your own studies with Foundation studies. Check the attached scope and the source organization’s label before relying on a cross-study comparison. A conversation containing another organization’s study does not offer all tools that modify study data. Conversations run in your organization’s context. Foundation analysis counts toward your organization’s Talk to Your Data usage. If an enabled document-library picker is offered, it draws on your organization’s library, not the source organization’s private documents.

Create and find your outputs

Create a report, slide deck, or quote reel from the Foundation conversation using the supported output workflow. Review the generated content and source references before sharing it. The Outputs area lists your organization’s work drawing on that Foundation. It does not expose the source organization’s study-owned outputs or every other organization’s analysis. Start new outputs through Talk to your Data; the Foundation output list does not have its own creation composer. Access to the Foundation does not make a conversation or generated output a public link. Review the relevant output’s sharing controls, and remember that a recipient may also need source access to open evidence references.
